I think I’m finally starting to understand that being alone isn’t a bad thing. For the longest time, I thought I needed to constantly have people around me to feel okay. I was scared of the silence, scared of being forgotten, and scared that being alone meant there was something wrong with me. But now I’m realizing that sometimes being alone is exactly what you need. It gives you time to get to know yourself without everyone else’s opinions, expectations, and energy influencing you. You start realizing what you actually like, what you actually want, and what you’re no longer willing to accept. I’d rather be alone and at peace than surrounded by people and still feel lonely. I’m learning that not every person is meant to stay, and not every chapter needs to be filled with someone else. Some chapters are meant for finding yourself, healing, growing, and becoming comfortable with your own company. Being alone doesn’t mean I’m unwanted. It doesn’t mean I’m lonely. It just means I’m learning that I can enjoy my own presence, protect my peace, and be okay without constantly needing someone beside me. And honestly, there’s something really beautiful about becoming your own comfort. 🤍
