So ChatGPTs newest model  just proved that your life is most likely a simulation. This guy just used GPT-6 to build a virtual world filled with AI characters that had to work together to survive. Then he put a computer inside their world. And then, unexpectedly, one of those characters used it to build another simulation, and filled it with its own AI characters. So an AI character living inside a simulation had now created a simulation of its own. The characters will get smarter, and their worlds become more detailed, until you're looking at something that looks exactly like reality. And soon we’ll be able to exactly recreate a human brain and body inside a computer simulation.  The idea is that this would reproduce consciousness, so the person inside would actually experience that world the way you experience this one. It could feel the sun on its face, have conversations with friends, and remember things that happened years ago. And a civilization that figures this out wouldn't necessarily stop at creating one world. It could create billions of them. So with one original world and billions of simulated versions, simulated people would vastly outnumber everyone else. Mathematically, that would mean you're far more likely to be living in one of those simulations than in the original reality.
