Get a shop vac, stick the drain in the end of the hose. Grab the connection with your hand where they meet. It'll close the area by your hand at the connection and will clean out your drain.

to whom it may concern, occasional warm vinegar/water mix down the drain keeps the slim from building up causing water to back up, float to lift and shut down the A/C thermostat etc. You can also cup your hands around a regular shop-vac hose or duck-tape a car shop-vac hose around the end
