@angel_lee0201: (𝘈𝘯 𝘖𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘙𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘎𝘪𝘳𝘭𝘴' 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘕𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭) 𝘞𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭0408 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙏𝙀𝙍 20 — 𝙄𝙁 𝙄 𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙇𝘿 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀 𝙊𝙉𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙂 . . 𝗥𝗜𝗡'𝗦 𝗣𝗢𝗩. The next morning, I went back to work. As if nothing had happened. As if I hadn't spent the entire night staring at the ceiling, trying to convince myself that what I remembered couldn't possibly be real. The studio was exactly the same. The same people moved around me. The same cameras stood where I remembered them. The same voices filled the hallway. Even the smell of coffee from the production table was familiar. Too familiar. I stood quietly beside the monitor while the crew prepared for the next scene. Then the director called for everyone to take their positions. I already knew what was going to happen. The assistant director would drop the stack of papers. Someone would complain about the lighting. The director would ask for another five minutes. And then— The papers fell. My breath caught. I stared at them scattered across the floor. Exactly as I remembered. One month ago. I had stood in this exact place. I had watched the exact same thing happen. I slowly looked at the clock. My hands tightened around the script. Another piece of the puzzle. Another thing that shouldn't have been possible. I had spent the last few days collecting them. Not because I wanted to. Because I needed to know whether my memories were real. At first, I told myself it was coincidence. Then it happened again. And again. A conversation I remembered before it happened. A scene I knew before we filmed it. A phone call I knew someone would receive. A small mistake one of the crew members would make. Things that were too insignificant to predict. Too precise to be coincidence. I had started writing them down. Dates. Times. Places. People. Everything I remembered. And every time reality matched my memories, the same terrifying thought became harder to ignore. I've already lived this. I closed my eyes. The image of the car flashed through my mind. Sia. Her hand in mine. The headlights. The impact. The sound of glass breaking. Then nothing. I opened my eyes again. No. Not nothing. I remembered dying. And so did she. I looked across the studio. Sia is standing near the makeup area, talking to one of the staff. Alive. Smiling. Breathing. My chest tightened. For a moment, I just watched her. She laughed at something someone said. I almost smiled. Then the thought came again. What would our life look like if that night never happened? Maybe we'd already be together. Not secretly. Not pretending. Maybe we'd have spent this entire month enjoying the fact that we'd finally found our way back to each other. Maybe I'd be sitting beside her during lunch. Maybe she'd steal food from my plate. Maybe we'd argue over something stupid and make up five minutes later. Maybe I'd get to hold her hand without being afraid of what would happen next. Maybe I'd wake up every morning knowing she was still there. Instead, I was standing several meters away, watching her like I was afraid she might disappear if I looked away. I wanted to walk towards her. I wanted to tell her everything. But what would I say? "𝘏𝘪, 𝘚𝘪𝘢. 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘥. 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘦." She'd think I'd lost my mind. So I stayed where I was. I watched. That was all I could do. For now. I started paying attention to everything around her. Who approached her. Where she went. Who she talked to. Especially him. The producer's son. Every time I saw him somewhere near Sia, something inside me tightened. I remembered what happened. Angeeeeel :
I remembered the way he looked at her.
The way he refused to take no for an answer.
The fear in Sia's eyes.
The chase.
The car.
I couldn't let it happen again.
But I couldn't frighten her either.
If I suddenly told her to stay away from him without explaining why, she'd ask questions I wasn't ready to answer.
So I protected her quietly.
I made excuses to stay nearby.
I asked people I trusted to keep an eye on things.
Whenever I noticed him approaching, I found a reason to interrupt.
Whenever Sia was supposed to go somewhere alone, I somehow ended up nearby.
I hated doing it this way.
But at least she was safe.
At least she was alive.
That had to be enough.
For now.
-----
A few days later, I found myself sitting across from my mother.
She is watching me over her cup of tea.
"You've been acting strange."
I looked up.
"I'm fine mæ"
"You keep saying that."
I forced a small smile.
"Maybe I'm just tired."
She studied my face.
Then she sighed.
"Rin."
Something about the way she said my name made me look away.
She knew me too well.
"What mæ?"
"Did something happened?"
My fingers tightened around the cup.
For a moment, I almost told her.
Almost.
But then I imagined her face if I said it.
"𝘔𝘰𝘮, 𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘥.
𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬."
How could I explain something I barely understood myself?
So instead, I asked the question that had been sitting inside me for days.
"Mom..."
She looked at me.
"What was Dad like before he left?"
Her expression changed.
Only slightly.
But I noticed.
"Why are you asking about him?"
"I don't know."
That was the truth.
I didn't know.
I just suddenly needed to know.
"What if..."
My voice became quieter.
"What if he never left?"
She stared at me.
I swallowed.
"What if things had been different?"
My mother didn't answer immediately.
I looked down at my hands.
I had spent years convincing myself that I didn't care anymore.
That I had accepted it.
That I had grown beyond that little girl who waited for her father to come home.
