If you act incredibly negatively to a note or a phrase, or if you have negative self talk about your voice, your vocal GPS interprets that as what you want and that becomes your destination and it will guide you to it tirelessly. But if you hit a note that you don’t like and you ask yourself this question, “how could I make that even better?” Your brain will look for a way to make it better. So the idea is, be absolutely neutral with the negative sounds, and ask that question, and with the ones that work great, that sound great, that feel great, get excited, have an emotional reaction, get grateful. The brain then recognizes that as the target, and it’ll give you more of that. If you act negatively emotionally to a note that you don’t like, the brain is taking that emotional reaction as direction to get you more.
