it's not God's "plan." it's God's will. we have free will. we're faced with choices. I pray for Him to guide me in His will. im not religious. by any means. spiritual awakenings do happen though and I believe.

I pray because God has been so good to me not to pray to him. In the good and bad he still knows and holds our future. The Bible tells us to pray without stopping. Even if I feel disconnected I know he still is listening. I’m not perfect and either is anyone else in any way shape or form. He has never left me. In my crappy childhood or anywhere else. He has never failed me yet. Even if I don’t understand something that isn’t going the way I want it to. I trust in him because he already knows my future.

God’s plan doesn’t mean there’s only one rigid path and we’re just acting out a script. Scripture shows that God gives us real choices and those choices have real consequences. Obedience can lead us one direction, disobedience another, repentance can change our course, and prayer matters within all of that. God’s plan doesn’t erase free will. Our choices can change the course our lives take, and prayer matters because it’s how we seek God’s guidance, ask for help, and respond to Him along the way. God is still sovereign but He chose to create people with real agency. So yes, your life can unfold differently depending on what you choose…free will is actually meaningful. Even Jesus prayed 🫶🏼

Well because The Bible tells us too. But I see in your comments you talk about “being a good person” none of us are “good people” saved or not. We are wicked sinners without Christ. & plenty of “good people” are in hell right now. Sad but hard truth.

I'm glad I'm not religious...the thought of letting go and letting god is just absurd to me...I make my own way and the choices I make have consequences good or bad and I live a good life, love my family and love my fellow human beings

There was no God when I was being beat, and abused as a child, there was no God when I battled my addiction, there was no God when the man I loved tried to ☠️me. There was only me, I believed in myself to get myself right! .. why don't animals pray or worship a God? Why are there so many God's? I have more questions than answers, and until I obtain an answer, ill continue to believe in, and show up for myself than depend on a God that let me be SA'd at 3 years old. 🤟❤️

i’m not brainwashed so i don’t pray. i live my life for me and make sure i’m being the best i can be. if i mess up, that’s on ME. if i do good, that’s also because of ME. it’s my own strength and wisdom. you don’t need a church or a book or a dude in the sky in order to live a good life and be a good human. 🖤

God gives us free will to do what we want and yes he knows what we’re going to do before we do it. We pray about our hardships, we pray to thank him, we pray for things we desire and he answers those prayers in his time and in the manner we NEED THEM not how we always want them.

I feel god has a plan for me but I don’t always see it. I’ve made poor choices that led to those unfortunate outcomes. I may take a wrong turn and he has to reroute me back on track. That leads to other things I have to learn from, choices he didn’t know I was gonna make. There’s always more than one way to get somewhere and lessons we need to learn along the way.

I pray because I wanna thank God for all the blessings that he has bestowed upon me, we have free will, and I pray to him to help me make the right decisions because even though it is his plan, there are other paths that can be taken that aren’t part of his plan.

I understand that it’s Gods plan, and God knows the intent of my heart when I pray. He’s not a wishing well, when you put faith in Him, he gives you an open heart, guidance, mercy, grace, and love. It’s not about going against Him, it’s about understanding the road he Has already laid before you.
