I got this recipe from a lady at the market here in Puglia🧺🇮🇹 I noticed every stand was loaded with green beans so I asked one of the ladies what she was going to make with them. She told me about this pasta & insisted the green beans cook right in the same pot as the pasta… I could have sworn she said to add in a lot of cheese😂 This is the kind of pasta you’ll find in Italian homes all summer long! Ingredients: 1 lb spaghetti or thick spaghetti 1/2 lb green beans, trimmed 1 lb cherry tomatoes, halved 4 cloves garlic 1 small chili pepper, chopped Fresh basil Olive oil Salt Pecorino Romano Instructions: 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and the spaghetti to the same pot and cook until al dente. 2. Meanwhile, heat a generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil in a large pan. Add the garlic, chili pepper, and a few basil leaves. Cook until fragrant. 3. Add the cherry tomatoes, season with salt, and cook until they begin to soften. 4. Transfer the spaghetti and green beans directly to the pan along with a splash of pasta water. Toss everything together until the sauce lightly coats the pasta. 5. Turn off the heat and stir in a generous amount of freshly grated Pecorino Romano until creamy. #pasta #italianfood #fyp
