I collect degrees too, but my husband threatened me with divorce if I pursue a PhD. 😂 He didn’t say anything about another Masters though. Jokes on him…I’m halfway to #2 and he has no idea!

I am looking for a career change always wanted to teach since middle school. currently have both a bachelor's and masters in History. Because of this the University mentor from Western Governors University has recomended I get a M.Ed in Technology and Instructional methods. The goal of the program is to learn how to design effective learning experiences, create instructional materials, and use technology to improve teaching and learning. As a teacher do you feel this is the best path to take. His argument was I already have the degrees in History so I know the material, this goes into the education side of things.

Okay, as an English teacher, would you say “there is a couple of people” or “there are a couple of people.” I see some people say that the verb is “are” because you refer to the entirety of “couple of people” but I can’t ignore that the subject “couple” is singular.

Have you always been a teacher? I was a young mom, and have 3 children- mostly I raised as a single mom. I have a wonderful partner now, who is supportive of my dreams, I have my associates and my dream is to work at a highschool as a teacher or assistant principal- but that means going back to school and going to college- maybe with my oldest daughter at this point lol. Am I too late? Should I put the effort in to finish my education as I approach 40?!

I have 3 jobs. I am a lifeguard and I coach swim team and I am also a resident assistant at my college. But I am only ever working 2 of them at a time I work my lifeguard job at an indoor pool year round during school I also do my RA job then in the summer I do my lifeguard job and I coach swim team. I want my career to be as a child life specialist helping kids and family cope with being in the hospital giving age appropriate and developmentally appropriate education about procedures a child will be having done. But I also want to be a social worker my heart is passionate about so many things that involve helping people but I can’t do all of them I love school and learning but I can’t be in school forever because that is too expensive lol but being a child life specialist and being a social worker are 2 different fields and 2 different degrees
