We would already be in a serious, official, recession if not for all these newer options like Afterpay & Klarna. In '08 those weren't a thing, so we just had to stop spending when things turned bad. We bought all generics, started gardens, and did food swaps with neighbors. Stay safe out there, ya'll, this is only the beginning 💔

I bought a 15# bag of rice, about to buy similar size of dry beans. At best, I’ll slowly use it over the next couple years. At worst, my family and I will be eating rice and beans multiple times a week.

Our dependence on diesel goes beyond the supply chain. Firetrucks and other rescue heavy vehicles. Municipal/county repair trucks. School busses. Snow plows.

Im a Truck Driver an owner operator to be exact. We're paying $6+ for diesel but the even badder part is that the brokers aren't going up on the linehaul pay for the loads being booked. I have a dedicated route I drive and ever since this war has started the price I get paid to haul loads on this route have stayed the same. Brokers may only give $50 to $75 more but that's it. There is a guy who drives the same route as me owner op as well and he's mad asf at diesel prices but continues to say "oh I'll be happy when Trump figures this out and fuel goes back down" mind you he voted for the man twice💀
