So if decided to go the opposite direction, does the earth say "hey, let me rotate this way now," opposite, clockwise, counterclockwise ?? If you're in a train and you jump not straight up, but forward with the movement of that train and then backwards against, the effect, timing, distance, and speed you move will be different. A simple test that absolutely ANYONE can try. Apply that logic to a plane and ask yourself does the pilot need to change the speed according to the direction
