@c5news: “Tonight was straight out of a movie.” A Tesla driver rescued a stranger who was being chased by a knife attacker in Canada on Wednesday. The photographer, Robin Nuber, was on his way to a photoshoot when he came across a chaotic confrontation between three people near Redwood park involving a Jeep Wrangler and a white truck. Just as he started recording, he heard someone shout, “He’s got a knife.” Nuber later realised the incident wasn't road rage at all. The footage shows a man holding a knife and clambering over the truck in pursuit of another man, who ran straight toward the driver’s Tesla. Just before the victim could get inside the car, Nuber started reversing to pull away from the attacker. He yelled at the victim to "hold on" as the man grabbed the open passenger door, getting dragged about 100ft before Nuber stopped. Police arrested the 37-year-old suspect moments later after he threw his weapon into the woods. The suspect had previously rammed the victim's truck with his Jeep before the foot chase began, and he was then charged with multiple offences, including assault with a weapon and criminal harassment. The victim explained to the photographer that the attacker was actually his partner’s jealous ex-boyfriend. The rescue left the victim with a gouged eye, severe cuts, a bloody mouth, and a ruined shirt, leaving blood inside Nuber’s vehicle. Even after dealing with the chaos, Nuber mentioned in his Instagram comments that he still managed to make it to his photoshoots, do his Costco run, and make it home safe. #5news #knife #jelousboyfriend #vancouver
