people getting rid of filler really was the downfall of shows. because I would rather a show of one season with 20 something episodes and sure 10 of them might be filler. I would take that over eight episodes, a season that has absolutely no filler and the chances of it getting a second season are the exact same as the one that had the 20 something episodes. when the standard of 20 something episodes per season became eight, We lost the complete plot.

I was somewhat interested im House of the Dragon when it first aired, managed to get through its first 2 Seasons. It's good but not strong enough for me to keep waiting every 2 years for a season. I've forgotten half the subplots and characters. I just don't care about season 3 anymore.

If there's more than 8 months between seasons, then it should be a requirement that each season have a minimum of 15 episodes.

half of the best longest running cult-classic tv shows in pre-2020s had absolutely trash pilots or a bad first season. there’s so many shows that it’s like “it doesn’t get better until the 3rd season but seasons 4-6 are great. season 7 sucks but season 8 is good. finale is horrible tho” probably total’s like a 100 episodes 😂

I’m absolutely fine with seasons that are 15 episodes or less, but don’t make me wait YEARS between seasons. We’ve gone from 20+ episodes a season that ended right before summer started and the new season started Sep-Oct, and now we have maybe 8 episodes a season with years in between them.

Nah apple TV takes 2 to 2 and a half years before the next sesaon comes out and I am right there binge watching before it come back. This is a Hulu, Netflix and Peacock issue.

Conspiracy theory: they do that knowing we'll rewatch before the new season to refresh. I got my dad to watch Silo and he's mad the next season probably won't be for 2 years

I just don’t understand why they can’t film enough for two season, then realize those once a year. Or atleast split seasons up, 12ep in the beginning of the, then the last half at the end of the year, isn’t that how they used to do it?
