@theauthentichousewife: I can’t believe it’s been 25 years since that Ri Ri /f I/ day. Those of us who were actually old enough enough to remember remember can still feel like it was yesterday. The terror, the fear, the uncertainty, the feelings of what now. September 11, 2001 was a pivotal day for our country and it was the day so many things change yet. What’s crazy to me is that there’s a whole generation that has to read this in textbooks because they didn’t experience it. Do you remember where you were, do you remember how you felt, let me know below. The one beautiful thing that came out of this horrific day was the unification of the American people. I don’t know how we trade so far left from that. But what I can tell you is, it made a patriot out of me. #911 #neverforget911 #proudamerican

I graduated in 2015, so I was only 4. Of course I remember my parents freaking out. but we learned 10x more about the holocaust, than 9/11.

Here’s the thing. We never forgot, but we didn’t do a great job ensuring that future generations understood the impact of it all

We MUST never forget! My middle son was born that day! It was insane, my husband almost missed his birth because the hospital was on lockdown. We have to keep telling the younger generations what happened to us! ❤️🇺🇸❤️

I was a senior and still at home. My mom was on a call for work and she screamed, the call had to end bc they had employees in building 7. My mom and I had just been to NYC and eaten at Windows on the World June 25, 2001. It felt so real to us

Beautiful, just beautiful speech. It breaks my heart when the younger generation says this is not the greatest country. Because you are right…9/11 brought out the best of us, and made us realize just how much we love our country and how lucky we are to be here.

Exact same place for me. I was in drama when it happened and went to chorus and saw what was happening.
