@sydfri: I’m sorry but any phone call from flight 93 and all widow and survivor stories from 9/11 will literally make me sob everytime. News had to be turned off immediately. #911

For the people asking for the name, just search the Naudet Brothers documentary. They were making a documentary following the life of a fire fighter and it turned into filming the horrific events of 9/11 unfolding.

If I remember her handle, but there is a daughter of a firefighter on here that recently posted new found footage of her dad and his squad going into the towers. I just find it surreal that each year we continue to find new stories, points of views, and new heros to share.

Oh my goodness, that poor woman must've blamed herself for losing his wedding ring for so long before realizing that he had it on that day 😭 I'm so glad she was able to get closure. What an absolute tragedy.

I live for naudet brothers, I still have the original release of their film on a a freakin dvd with no editing and it shocked me so much that what feels like for over a decade my family and I or my friends and I watch it every single year on 9/11. When CNN bought the rights and added in the updated interviews I sat on pins and needles waiting for Tony. I’m a firm believer that every moment in history will have someone or multiple someone’s there to document front lines, those brothers literally never set out to make the film that they did, but they captured everything when it comes to the first responders perfectly.

Don't leave out the Reunion. The brothers had separated that morning, one to follow the crew for a gas leak and the other stayed with the Probie (new guy). They didn't know if the other survived until late and they bawled.

It’s the best one. I saw the original when it came out and yesterday my daughter had a project on 9/11 as her first homework assignment…yikes😬But we watched it last night, and she asked questions and I just feel like it puts a really human spin on everything. The film makers were brothers and the firehouse was a family and I love how at the end, the film maker said he was told by one of the firefighters that he woke up that day with 1 brother and at the end of the day he had 50 brothers 😭

I know it has to do with the 25th, but I feel like this year was the most new footage and stories I have seen/learned since elementary school

I grew up in NY, I was 12. My dad was supposed to be there, and wasn’t. He lost many of his colleagues that day while they were at a brunch. It haunts me how close I came to being without my dad.

It’s the most beautiful, heartbreaking piece of documentary media I’ve seen of that day. It’s one of the few things I’ll rewatch almost every single year

Every year there are new povs and all of them are earth shattering. Even after 25 years we still feel it. RIP to victims and our prayers are with the survivors and their families

I literally own this documentary on DVD. the moment the brothers reunited in the afternoon, after having gone through most of the day not knowing if the other was alive, is burned into my psyche.

Wow thank you for connecting. You look so young. Thank you for feeling the sadness we felt and putting yourself there. Some things need to be kept alive and that's how.❤️😘

All I’m going to do is cry today. It was such an intense day watching all of this unfold and feeling utterly helpless for all who were there in the towers and planes that day.
