Liquidity Price often seeks available liquidity such as: BSL (Buy-Side Liquidity) — above highs SSL (Sell-Side Liquidity) — below lows Equal highs / equal lows Previous Day High/Low Previous Week High/Low Session highs/lows 2. Liquidity Sweep / Raid Price may run above a high or below a low to take liquidity before making the intended move. A sweep alone is not an entry signal; confirmation is important. 3. Displacement A strong, aggressive price move showing imbalance and intent. In ICT, displacement is often used to confirm that order flow has shifted. 4. Fair Value Gap (FVG) A three-candle imbalance created during displacement. Price can retrace into the FVG before continuing toward the next objective. 5. Market Structure Shift (MSS) After liquidity is taken, a strong displacement through a relevant short-term structure point can indicate a shift in order flow. 6. Order Blocks An Order Block can act as a PD Array where price may retrace after displacement. The context matters more than simply marking every last bullish or bearish candle. 🔥 A Simple ICT Order-Flow Sequence Liquidity → Sweep → Displacement → MSS → FVG/PD Array → Retracement → Continuation → Next Liquidity For example: SSL taken → bullish displacement → MSS → bullish FVG → retracement into FVG → expansion toward BSL The opposite applies for a bearish setup. ⚠️ Important Order flow should not be confused with traditional retail concepts such as simply reading candlestick colors, support/resistance, or indicators.
