I was 23 years old and lived in Richmond Va. I worked at a vet clinic. We had no idea about the first plane until a client came in. We brought the tv in from the break room and watched the 2nd plane hit. So many clients started calling and canceling appointments telling us they were pulling their kids from school. It ended up being a quiet day which was good because it was hard to concentrate on work. I went for a walk in my parents neighborhood after I left work trying to clear my head and I can remember hearing two neighbors talking and one of them worked at the Pentagon. He had taken the day off. I started crying thankful that this stranger was safe. My Daughter is the same age now that I was then which is crazy to me. When 9/11 happened she wasn’t even a thought and yet she was born October 8th 2002.

I was 5 months pregnant and had just taken my 7 year old daughter to school. I came back home and laid down in bed. My dad called frantically and told me to put on the news because a plane had just hit a building in NY. I was thinking a tiny plane had gotten off course. I even said "what kind of fool can't see a big building?" Little did I know the world was under attack. A day I'll never forget.

I was in the special classroom ( I had a different trsting room because of my IEP) taking a world History test. The assistant principal was retired Army, and came running into the classroom screaming to turn on the Fing TV. they put on Channel 1 news and we watched the second plane hit. My dad had me pulled from school within 45 minutes. He wanted to leave the US but we got word the US Mexico border was completely closed. while we were in the truck we heard about the Pentagon.

I was a sophomore going into a new school. Had a bad feeling that morning. Next thing I know we were watching tvs in the classroom of it happening and then got dismissed early to go home. I sat in front of the tv for hours
