@hannagetshired: honestly I didn’t even care if we ended up using the dance at the wedding, but no matter how crazy wedding planning, or hustling at work, or moving cross country got, taking a dance lesson was a non-negotiable because our priority for ourwedding is celebrating connection: with all our closest people, and with each other. And to be honest, we don’t really get THAT many chances to slow down and dance together. Until you learn how to dance with a partner, it doesn’t feel natural to dance with a partner. I resonated so much with @Maya Moves approach to dance lessons: she teaches couples how to dance together, rather than how to memorize choreographed steps. Which means that we learned this dance not just for our wedding, but to pull out on a random Wednesday night in our 60s, when it’s raining outside and our song comes on shuffle, to stay rooted in that connection ❤️
