I literally caught my grandmother in a lie cause she claimed she cleans the kitchen at night after I clean it cause I don't do a good job then I said "I'm the only person that stays up super late at night, I'd think I'd be able to hear if you was sweeping and mopping with how quiet it gets at night" she then tried to change up the story......

“I never lied” sounds more like what a liar would say, rather than an innocent person. Not only that, “never” is such a big word. Whereas, “what lie?” is used to clear up misinterpretation or any miscommunication. It leaves room for clarification of what that “lie” is. But, if you’re only using this to “test” someone, this isn’t even a solid way to do it either. Unless you already know that they lied and have evidence
