I will never understand teachers not letting students go to the toilet. My son who's only in first year was not allowed to go to the toilet during class and he was feeling sick. You're a great teacher ❤️

Toilet thing is tricky, but I'd bet the majority asking to go just want a walk. I'll be 20 mins into a lesson and no one has asked, then immediately when someone does it reminds others they wanted to leave and now 3 or 4 want to go. I think 2 hour gaps between before school, small break, lunch and school ending is a fair amount of time to train yourself to get in sync with that. If a student genuinely can't, then they need a note stating they're allowed to go. If you don't have a note, you'll just have to train your body like the rest of us.

I wish I had a teacher like you. I have a learning disability and learning in school was really difficult for me. I couldn't keep up with my class when they were writing down notes and one day I asked a girl beside me to write my notes she didn't mind and the teacher said to the girl don't write her notes if she's too lazy to do that herself in front of the whole class I was mortified. And since then I completely lost any interest in learning. She never sat me down and asked is everything okay all she was worried about was numbers and that did break my confidence. I wasn’t the only person she bullied tho I heard that she has picked on other students too and I’ve even seen her do that to a girl who had a learning disability. Safe to say she wasn’t my favorite teacher in the slightest 😂

As a past student I used to always fall asleep in a history lesson and get in trouble when the real reason was I was tired as it was first class of the day and thank u for showing other teachers how they can improve a student’s memory of a school day x

My son in fifth year was told no for needing to go to the bathroom as he felt sick. He ended up getting sick all over the classroom. So thank you, saying no is not ok and he felt mortified and it wasn’t fair, he did ask and said please!
