someone got fired and returned the next day with a gun and the manager and owner saw him coming so they ran and didn't tell anyone and left us to deal with a crazy person. After his arrest a nd all that he wrote our office a letter of apology and they rehired him

HR lead got robbed on the street and the thief took her phone. 1 week later at a company dinner, the phone reappeared on the table from nowhere

An employee left her purse on her desk and went to the bathroom. She had a bank envelope with $800 in it. When she came back, she noticed $ missing and made a big scene, of course. The next day there was a note from the thief apologizing & saying the $ was needed to keep their family from being homeless. They asked her not to report it and they'd pay her back. HR reviewed the video, called the police and fired the thief.

I’m sitting at my desk scrolling Facebook and I see that someone posted a link on our towns Facebook to a live press conference. That’s not a regular thing that happens in our town. So, I join the live. I see it’s for a PD in Calif. I’m in Arizona so Not sure why it’s for a Cali PD but I’m both intrigued and bored at work so I continue to watch. The Police Chief comes on and announces that after years of work and through DNA testing, they’ve finally apprehended a serial Grapist that had hit multiple towns in Cali. They pan over to the poster board with the accused photograph and say his name. IT’S MY COWORKER!!!! That I probably saw that week!!!! 😳😳😳 Apparently they even arrested him at work but the gossip hadn’t come my way yet.

someone stole a huge smoked ham thing from the office and the IT guy and I are the only ones who know who it was (we checked the cameras) we didn’t snitch because it was someone in a high position…

Working a law firm, one of the partners was a big a hole, really nasty piece of work. He used to treat the junior lawyers really bad, however he picked the wrong one and this one lawyer paid some people to beat the shh out of the partner when they were on their way home. The lawyer would have gotten away with it but he couldn’t help but brag and drop hints and then a full investigation where his phone was seized showed that he planned the attack and he has videos so he was fired swiftly and just about escaped jail time. I would say, since that whole incident, partners tend to treat juniors with more respect now.

Our department credit card kept having fraud almost every month but it was a $2M card that 30 people used for different things so we didn’t think anything of it and would just get the card reset when it was time to reconcile the charges, finally after the 5th month they did a deep dive and realized this lady was buying designer bags off this Chinese website for months for her and her daughter😭😭so they fired her, sued her and made her pay it back

Someone like 2 weeks ago came in for an interview, went into the break room, got in someone’s backpack and stole their keys, then stole their car.

A coworker said she needed money for a new car, then a couple of weeks later the store was robbed while she was opening alone. She was found by the police fully tied up and hysterically crying. 2 days later she had a new car and a few months later drunkenly confessed to us that her and bf planned it.

I worked for a large hospital organization back in 2014 and 6 people got fired for having after hours “adult time” with one another in a conference room…they failed to see the security camera pointed inside that captured the whole thing

I was at work and my phone started blowing up with people that I don’t talk to on a regular basis. I was seeing patients so couldn’t immediately take the calls. Finally I stopped for a minute to answer and was informed that my current boss was all over the news and that there was a live press conference about her being arrested for murder in a 20yr old cold case🤦‍♀️I actually worked at a jail at the time.

I’ve worked at TWO places where someone was smearing feces on the bathroom walls. The first job the woman doing it got caught because they were watching the cameras that showed who went in/out of the bathroom and they had supervisors discreetly checking the bathroom after anyone left.
