@mrmbb333: Something is building on the Sun. The two coronal holes we’ve been watching have grown much larger as they continue rotating toward Earth. These massive openings are releasing streams of high-speed solar wind, and Earth is moving closer to the line of fire. As they continue to grow and rotate into position, the potential for geomagnetic storm activity could increase in the days ahead. And if conditions line up, auroras could once again reach farther from the poles. The Sun is changing fast.
