I was in kindergarten. I remember the teacher rushing to turn the TV off. We got sent home early that day. I remember how quiet the days following. No one was as bright or vibrant as before. You could tell the world changed.

My Dad had just went from active duty to NYS National Guard. I remember being picked up from the sitter and waiting for his truck to pull into our driveway for days after 9/11. Can’t imagine those little girls who didn’t get to have that same feeling of relief because their own daddy/mommy pulled into the driveway.
