Of those transatlantic planes, 38 of them landed in a small Canadian town of 9000 people with zero warning. The 7000 people on those planes stayed for days. America never paid for this help tho some of the passengers pitched in to help the community with the expenses. But now 25 years later, “America doesn’t need anything from Canada” so I hope When this happens again, Canadian airspace will close to American bound planes and America can figure it out yourselves even if this means landing them in the Atlantic.
