This feels like a non-issue. There’s no need for the parents to announce the engagement at the wedding (I would be slightly annoyed as the bride if someone else’s engagement was announced during my wedding dinner) but they can just mention it in conversation with guests.

Got engaged 3 weeks before my brothers wedding. It was a non issue. The focus was on my brother and sister in law and of course I got questions and I quickly flipped the convo to be about them and not us. It’s that easy.
