Filling one of my last sketchbook pages in this book with mossy tree stumps as I just adore painting them! This was painted from a reference I took today when I was out walking - it makes such a difference to me painting from things I’ve observed in real life, I am so much happier with this one I’ve painted today! Painted with gouache in my Etchr sketchbook, which is 300gsm. Can’t recommend a thick paper enough if you’re just starting out with gouache as it will make such a difference to your paintings! It really handles water well and will mean your paper doesn’t buckle 💚 #paintingtutorial #sketchbookart #botanicalart #bluebells #gouache
