Smaller dinky light, hands down. The big light makes it look like you’re standing in the kitchen with the lights turned off.

Looks like the bigger light is lighting you from above whereas the cheaper one is straight on. Try angling the bigger one more straight on and see how that looks.

I can honestly say the cheap light looks better and not sure why. I know that’s probably not what you wanted to hear but yes the first is brighter. 💗

I prefer the lit background, and it looks like your eyes are struggling to look at the bright one which I don't think you should have to be uncomfortable to make your videos! I do think the second one looks nice on your face though, maybe the brightness makes skin look more glowy not sure. I watch either way lol

Interesting!!! I thought with the darker one, that you were filming at night or REALLY early in the morning while the rest of the house was asleep. I like the lighter better.

I don’t care what light you use, I think your content is just so amazing and wonderful. I personally happen to like content that feels less edited and more authentic, so I feel like I would go with what you’ve been doing this whole time! Thank you for all of your wonderful content!

Professional cinematographer here, use both. The big light (key light) to light your face, however off to the side like 3 o clock to give a nice contour to your face. Then use the smaller lights to light the background. Ideally you’d want a 3rd light for a fill and a 4th as a hair light. Hope this helps 👏
