These "tips" mostly work for guys who simply do not care and are nonchalant. Office dynamics are such that most progressive changes are a consequence of the "foolish" coming out! I think the form and style of feedback matters more depending on the personality of the boss. Let's not run the risk of perpetuating a spirit of cowardice camouflaged as smartness. Let wisdom prevail depending on the situation.

These office politics rules or status quo are costing companies money by increasing psychosocial risks. Toxicity is meant to be challenged not tolerated. We cannot ask people to be more resilient when the systems and structures enable it. It's time we stop blaming individuals and start interrogating the systems and structures that uphold and reward toxic leaders....just because there are results.

Those who take the role to bell the Cat or those who speak their mind don't do it because they were convinced by their colleagues.Its an inborne thing.Some of us can't do anything else sad.At times we have told our close friends in the office,please don't let me speak in that meeting.Just step on me when you hear me about to speak. But you can't understand unless you are born with that in you.
