Anybody that can make it to semi is a very high level player. It comes to consistency and control. Who makes the most errors will lose.

Serena was very intimidating and had a powerful presence on her prime. So her opponents were already psychologically and mentally defeated before they even start playing.

There's no woman playing right now with Serena's drive, force, and athleticism. Nobody combines all three like she did. Not one person! Coco has 2 Grand Slams at 22. Not many players can say that. Yet people still doubt her.

She can’t do what you are describing I don’t think. She relies on her incredible athleticism and defense most of all. Her forehand grip makes it almost impossible to flatten out the shot. The serve and backhand are weapons, no doubt. But her game has never been constructed to “obliterate” her opponents. It’s just not the style of play compatible with her technique and skills

You’re right. Very different players. Coco is still great but not Serena. Serena was the greatest attacking player of all time. Coco is more defensive and calculating.

First Serena’s biggest comp was Venus, I would argue that the depth and power today is way better. There are 5-6 players that could hang w Serena today, not taking anything away from her, they’re just bigger taller stronger today, I think Coco will get on a run, she’s still just 22. And tennis is not a zero some game you’re gonna win someone you’re gonna lose some. Just remember the big three in men’s they beat each other up.
