Just a reg bowl and reg cleaning anddddd if you add a thing of copper it keeps bacteria and slime out and purifies it. They have little plates that you can get (it’s a thing, that’s what you see in birdbaths) just a helpful trick! 🙂↔️🙂↕️

plastic can get scratched over time from washing and normal wear & tear. those scratches harbor bacteria. plus cats are allergic to plastic, it gives them mouth/chin acne

Guys u want to prevent slim build up on your water bowl? Easy. 1. Change and wash bowl once a day. 2. Have 2 water bowls and keep one empty and able to dry out completely. Then switch bowls each day. This will dry out any live colonies cleaning misses. 3. If you want to be a bit extra and your bowl doesn’t have anything that will melt then put them in the oven from time to time for 10 minutes. Or put them in a dishwasher with a heat dry system. You are welcome

I have a large stainless steel bowl that I refill every two days for both my cat and dog, I put Tartar cleaner in it to keep their mouth hygiene healthy. I’ve found the fountains make it way harder to clean and refill and it saves me way more time refilling the stainless steel bowl instead. In fact the stainless steel bowl I use was from a fountain bowl but it got so dirty so fast and was much harder to tell when you’d need to wash and refill it
