Growing older, I began to understand that life never really teaches us how to avoid pain. Life only teaches how to keep walking even though your heart has been broken, how to keep smiling even though there are things you can't tell anyone, and how to keep believing that every step, no matter how small, still takes us to where we should be. I used to think that happiness was the ultimate goal, but now I realize that happiness often just stops by for a while, then leaves again. What we really have to learn is calmness. Because when someone has found peace within himself, the world no longer easily shakes his heart. We can't control who comes or goes, can't force time to run as we wish, and can't make everyone understand the struggle we hide. But we always have the choice to remain a good person, remain humble, remain grateful, and still believe that every difficulty must bring lessons that cannot be bought with anything. Maybe today has not lived up to expectations, maybe there are still many prayers that have not been answered, maybe there is still a feeling of tiredness that is hidden by oneself. But haven't we managed to get through so many days that used to feel impossible? Perhaps what we are living now is just one chapter of an unfinished story. So there is no need to rush to conclude that everything has failed. Time always has its own way of explaining the reason behind every meeting, loss, waiting, and change. Until that time comes, may we continue to be someone who does not lose hope just because the situation is not on our side. Because sometimes, the best things come not to those who are the fastest, but to those who persevere when almost everyone chooses to give up.
