I’ve been coming up with a theory for how to live with people who feel they have to wear anger as armor. I’ve been one. I think being soft with them, praying for patience and also boldness in speaking up for the people they hurt. I know it’s challenging to be hurt by them and still expect ourselves to walk with them in grace and soft strength. Knowing when to step in and protect others when their actions cause harm, and knowing when to step away to find comfort and healing with people who understand. My family is filled with them, and I can’t just escape or talk shit to make them change. But I can continue to hold myself in a standard that makes God proud. Loving and blessing my enemy, giving them space to change. My grandma used to say “you can’t help someone at all unless you relate to them with pure love.” She was kind to horrible people, and she didn’t let their actions define her worth or future decisions. She simply allowed those hard moments to be the opportunity to show her real strength, a good heart. A bright spirit. Maybe those people don’t change, but they can. Maybe we feel affected by their actions, but we don’t have to let it determine who we choose to be.

I like to think those are the ones that start having thin hair in their late 20s early 30s. bc all that meanness makes you bald. its just my "happy" thought

Former mean girl here! My self-hatred and severely low self-esteem created so much outer turmoil. 😩 I had accumulated so much trauma just by age 18 and I’ve been on such an intense healing journey where my old self had to die to become who I’m meant to be. I spent years in therapy and doing self-development work in formal settings to unearth all of my inner child wounds and unpack my triggers so I could work through them. Healing is one heck of a journey but if people aren’t willing to do the inner work (cuz damn it’s also painful) then they’re just going to repeat the cycle.

Dated a narc. Met her friends and tried to figure out where I remembered the familiar feeling I got when I was around the group of them. I realized it felt exactly like the high school lunch table. They were it their 30s and 40s. It’s wild.

I’ll bite. I ran a singles group with around 400 people and shut it down with zero ragrets. Somewhere along the way it stopped being a dating group and became Mean Girls: The Adult Years. I refused to be principal.

They never leave elementary and/or high school >>> as “mean girls” >>> they then remain the same as teachers, vps, and principals >>> like whoa! The cliques I’ve seen were outta this world!

The mean girls remain preteens the rest of their lives. It shows. They are the insecure ones who don't know how to pull their own heads out of their asses. They all smell demonic too. Some do change, but most don't. They've been the same for lifetimes.

They end up in a position where they constantly crave control and a means to manipulate others to feel the hole they've created in them overtime. A mean child grows into a control crased adult.
