i work in postpartum :) we provide pads, dermoplast, and witch hazel pads to make a little padsicle, and we also provide disposable underwear! i definitely recommend packing shower shoes, and maybe bringing your own gown too because the hospital ones aren’t always the most comfortable. a sharpie is also a good idea if you plan on bringing a little wooden sign for photos! the hospital should provide diapers, wipes, a pacifier, and formula if you plan on formula feeding. i also recommend bringing the peri bottle you have at home because, honestly, the hospital ones are awful definitely bring some snacks with you too, especially if you end up delivering later in the day/night. sometimes the hospital cafeteria closes at a certain time, so it’s nice to have something on hand when you get hungry. you should be able to doordash to the hospital (just ask the L&D/postpartum teams) and definitely have a birth plan! even if things don’t go exactly according to plan, it’s nice to have your preferences written out so everyone knows what you’re hoping for :)

You honestly don’t need to pack that much postpartum items the Hospital will literally provide you with most of the postpartum essentials that you need sprays which hazel pads, ice packs, diapers, etc.

Giirrlll yessss! The ball helped me dilate much faster. They said I would have her the next day. I bounced on that ball between contractions. I had my daughter at 9pm that night.

The hospital will provide the pads, underwear,some witch hazel pads and the peri bottle💞 they also send u home with more atleast my hospital did❣️

U NEED TO ROB UR HOSPITAL FOR EVERYTHING THEY GOT !!!!!!! THE DERMOPLAST SPRAY NEEDS TO BE SPRAYED ON THAT COOTER IMMEDIATELY AFTER U PEE & DON'T HOLD UR PEE CUZ U WONT FEEL UR PEE FILLING UR BLADDER AND U CAN GET SICK AND THEN U WILL DIE (jk) AND U SHOULD ALWAYS WEAR 2 PAIRS OF THE HOSPITALS UNDERWEAR AND USE MULTIPLE PADS AT THE SAME TIME, PUT THE WITCH HAZEL PADS ON LIKE A SUBWAY SANDWICH TOPPING, AND GET THE ICE PACKS!!!!!! THAT IS GONA FEEL AMAZING ON UR SWOLLEN BEATEN COOTERRRR!!! GOOD LUCK

mom of two here- it might feel a little awkward at first, but i highly recommend practicing different pain relief techniques/positions with your bf ahead of time so when the time comes you’re already prepared and know exactly what will work best for you. using a wrap may be helpful for you as well. wishing you the absolute best for your labour and recovery!! 🤍

Don’t take ANYTHING, leave what you bought at home and let the hospital supply everything. Take only what you want for comfortability or preference. Other than that I would recommend a small fan! I got so hot as my labor progressed. They should also have the maternity and peanut balls at the hospital. Congratulations mama! Your gonna be a great mom to your baby girl 😊🫶🏻

I would only take the belly band and peri bottle from that Kit. The hospital has everything you need. I only packed clothes for me & baby, a blanket for me and baby. A charger, all my shower necessities and slippers.
