@ABC News @ABC 20/20 - you should be ashamed of yourselves. You had an opportunity to tell the public what actually came out during the Lindsay Clancy trial. Instead, AFTER a mistrial, you produced an hour of television that repeatedly presents Lindsay as the person who killed her children - as though that question had been decided. It wasn’t. You showed TikTok creators. You showed women defending Lindsay in a way that made them look irrational and “unhinged.” But where was the evidence we’ve spent months documenting? Where were the contradictions? Where were the problems with the digital evidence? Where were the unanswered questions surrounding the phones, timelines, searches, locations, photographs and testimony? Where was the evidence that created reasonable doubt? Where was THAT story? Because it existed. Patrick Clancy created a narrative about Lindsay that the prosecution fed to a jury. And now ABC has created another narrative for millions of viewers - one where Lindsay is guilty and the women questioning that are crazy. Do you understand the irony of that? You don’t have to agree with us. But if you’re going to call something journalism, you have an obligation to show your audience the evidence that challenges your narrative, too. You showed plenty of TikTok. Funny how you missed mine. ABC, you should be ashamed. This wasn’t a verdict. It was a mistrial. And those are not the same thing. #LindsayClancy #LindsayClancyTrial #istandwithyou #MentalHealth #womenarenotdisposable
