That’s a good idea put Fire and Clay especially for the cap for the Fireplace. I like using refactory mortar for the firebricks. And any trowel that has a weld instead of a solid metal. I call those throwaways after one day of use, throw em away lol. I appreciate when yall share your creativity on installs
