I’ve had the EXACT same thought. If I would have wanted kids more than anything - I would have prioritized it. I would have made decisions that led me there, but I chose against them. I chose time and time again to prioritize my health and the health of my relationships or a creative project or a cause that mattered to me, or supporting my community. Those things have been more important to me than the prospect of having kids. #powerup

someone on insta said that us child free people don’t understand how much free time we have but it’s like…well we do, that’s one of the many reasons why we don’t have them!

I babysit my cousins when I was younger that alone is the best lesson, how much my aunts were alone to raise them while their husband got no idea how to take care of them just waiting orders on what to do, mind you it was just day to day chores

Being a mother is selfless- I have 3 kids and can do all of what suggest- my life is so full. I think people that have children have the experience of having children and not having children. People who choose to have no children don’t have any experience and in my opinion, can’t talk about being a mom because she just don’t know.

“What if your partner wants some?” Then they can leave and go find someone else who does. I shouldn’t be forced to have kids (and shouldn’t be guilted into being a second mother either, childfree means no kids period.)

Also childfree people are allowed to not have to do an alternative to not having kids. We don't have to pursue a career. We don't have to apply ourselves to dozens of hobbies. 🤷

I’m 38 and do not regret not having kids. My 30s have been my best decade yet. My husband and I have traveled to so many places and had such amazing adventures. We have 3 little nieces and we adore them. We’re heading to Greece next week, couldn’t be happier.
