@jamesguthrieart: For the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and for this month’s church illustration, I chose to draw St. Paul’s Chapel in New York City. St. Paul’s was located just across the street from the where the towers fell, yet remarkably survived with only minor damage. In the days and months following the attacks, the church served as a primary location and shelter for firefighters, survivors, and the many others affected at Ground Zero. They provided meals, supplies, a place to rest, and somewhere to pray for the thousands of people during that time, and so I thought it was fitting for this month and for today to highlight that story.
