Hey tow easier. Plus the room. I’m 6’4” and kinda husky. Pull behinds are kinda tiny.

"tow rating" means nothing. Payload is where most trucks fall short and is often overlooked. Your 3/4 ton diesel doesn't have much more payload than a 1/2 ton gas truck. Don't believe me? Look at your door sticker.

Our son has a TT that’s about the same length as our 5th wheel. The 5th wheel seems so much less claustrophobic due to ceiling height.

At a stay in a Georgia state park, a ranger commented that it’s the best camper combination for their park. Although the big ones could have trouble in tight turns, the maneuverability of a midsize rig checked all the boxes for maximizing the top end of their length regulations.
