I was in 7th grade. My teacher said it was important because a) we were going to learn about it. Hear about it. Everyone knew. And B) she didn’t want false rumors to be spread and a panic to be caused due to lack of awareness. She was right.

I was in high school and honestly so grateful my teachers paused the day and just watched. It was the first time I ever experienced anything like that. Some of them tried to be "normal" while some just let themselves cry and teens were reacting the same....some of us made jokes and acted like it was fake or not a big deal while some of us panicked and called our parents to pick us up. Most of us just stayed quiet and watched and looked at each other like we had an unspoken understanding we're together on this.

In our HS they had an announcement I auditorium first then we spent rest of day in homeroom watching it, seeing 2nd hit live and people calling family they knew were there. It was pretty crazy but so glad we did see it because we have a whole lot of young people being super disrespectful about it lately.

My math teacher’s brother in law was in the first building. She was pacing back and forth as us little 7th graders were watching it live. When the first building fell she absolutely lost her mind. We were just kids we had no clue how to console her.
