finally got my hands on the new Nintendo Switch 2, and here are my honest first impressions: (these are just my opinions, let me know if you agree or disagree!) - aesthetically the all matte black design is super appealing to me- I love how sleek the console looks, and the screen size & graphics quality is a HUGE game changer! as someone who had their OG Switch and never got the OLED, I was long overdue for an upgrade and this did not disappoint. it gave some of my old games new life again with the excitement of replaying them in much higher definition & on a larger screen, and also got me excited about the possibility of playing a bunch of new ones I wouldn’t have considered on the OG Switch 🤩 - the new joycons are much more comfortable to hold in your hands, and the magnet attachments are not only super satisfying (I may have attached and reattached them multiple times while filming this video just for fun 🤭) but also work extremely smoothly & are easy to use, including the buttons on the back to de-attach them! I also love the new & improved kickstand, which makes tabletop gaming significantly easier & more enticing, rather than having to choose between either having it docked or fully handheld - the game organization settings (being able to group games!) and eShop refresh are HUGE! Instead of taking forever to scroll endlessly through the eShop and hope to stumble upon a cool new game to try, the new eShop is clearly organized, easily sort & filter-able, so managing a wishlist of games to play next has never been easier! I also love that they recommend games weekly that are personalized to your own tastes/history 🎮 - the Nintendo Switch Online membership perks definitely add value here! Not only do you get the ability to play remastered GameCube games (GC was my all time favorite console growing up!! Tell me yours in the comments 🫶🏼) like Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker (and hopefully Pokemon Colosseum eventually down the road! 🤞🏼), BUT the fact that I was able to upgrade Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom to their Switch 2 versions for FREE was a nice unexpected bonus 🥰 - Mario Kart World is an absolute treasure! The variety of characters to choose from (the cow! 🐮) and customization is super enjoyable, and the open world component (for someone who likes to play a lot of solo/single player/cozy games) makes me want to pick up the game more often and play when I’m traveling or just relaxing by myself 🏎️ (which was not necessarily the case for me for Mario Kart 8) - the only downside I’ve really noticed so far is the battery life… for as excited as I’ve been to be able to play on the go with the bigger screen, the battery only lasts about 4-6 hours for me with the brightness up, which is definitely a bit of a letdown, but also speaks to how much I’m enjoying the console as a whole, since I just wish I could use it for longer on one charge! Overall I’m extremely satisfied & happy that I made the decision to get the Switch 2, and recommend it wholeheartedly!! As a long time Nintendo Gamer (since the N64), I’m super excited to see whatever else Nintendo has in store for us for the future, and will be staying cozy at home all month playing games & relaxing ☺️ Have you gotten the Nintendo Switch 2 yet?? Let me know your thoughts in the comments and what games you are most hopeful/excited to see release for it in late 2025/early 2026 🎮 And don’t forget to hit follow for more gaming & tech updates, reviews, & even more cozy content posted every week! ✨ #nintendoswitch2 #switch2 #cozygamer #cozygaming #asmrunboxing #unboxingvideo #techunboxing #GamerGirl #gamertok
