@carllentz: Forgiveness and trust are not the same thing. Forgiveness releases the debt of what they did to you. Trust is your confidence in what they'll do with access to you now. Different words. Different work. Different timelines. You can forgive someone completely and still not be ready to hand them the keys again. That doesn't mean you haven't forgiven them. I can, do, and have forgiven many for many things they have done to me including those that stabbed me in my back and friends that spoke ill if me behind my back. I learned over time that I can forgive without giving them my trust again. Forgive but do not forget for that is the way of fools.
