@foxnews: Police in Barcelona clashed with protesters ahead of Catalonia's National Day as rival groups supporting the region's independence gathered for separate demonstrations. Riot police used batons to keep the groups apart and prevent the protests from turning violent. Authorities said three people were arrested, seven others are under investigation for public disorder, and 13 officers suffered minor injuries.
