@coachstas: Vladimir Putin addressed the BRICS Business Forum on September 11, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, ahead of the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit on September 12–13 under India's chairmanship. Putin outlined what he called the bloc's shared task: strengthening practical business cooperation, or "business diplomacy," to make it easier for companies and entrepreneurs across member states to find partners, settle payments, move goods, and invest. He emphasized that BRICS does not intend to turn inward at the national, corporate, or partnership level, framing the bloc's growth as inclusive rather than exclusionary, and stated that BRICS is not being built in opposition to any other country or alliance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed the forum, while other world leaders — including China's Xi Jinping, South Africa's Cyril Ramaphosa, Iran's Masoud Pezeshkian, and Egypt's Abdel Fattah el-Sisi — were expected to arrive for the leaders' summit sessions. The appearance marks Putin's first in-person BRICS summit outside Russia since 2022.
