@fatou_jagne_the_activist: We are receiving reports that several recruits from the Gambia Armed Forces were rushed to Kanifing General Hospital earlier today after reportedly collapsing. A source told us that one or two of the recruits may have died, while some others were reportedly referred to Ndemban Clinic. We are still trying to establish exactly what happened. There are reports that the recruits may have suffered food poisoning, while other reports suggest they collapsed after taking part in a Basic Fitness Test. At the moment, family members of the affected recruits, as well as senior members of the Armed Forces, are at Kanifing General Hospital. Stay tuned.
