I was a freshly graduated 18-year-old, getting ready to start my freshman year at Cal State LA, thinking I was going to get drafted. Then, in an instant, the world changed. September 11th is a day we will never forget—the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the way our country came together in the days that followed. And somehow, baseball helped us heal. When the game returned, it gave us a little bit of normalcy again. For Dodgers fans, Vin Scully’s voice was part of that comfort.
