To actually do it he’d need the House, the Senate, the Appropriations Committee. Vance already walked it back the same night, said of course it wouldn’t go to the wealthy. Now they’re talking about means testing, which runs into its own constitutional problems. This is a brilliant marketing move. Nothing more. His low information voters actually believe they’re going to receive that money. They didn’t get the DOGE dividend and they won’t get this one either.
