💜 IN HONOUR OF THE NAMIBIAN WOMEN AND CHILDREN WE HAVE LOST 💜 Today, we honour and remember every Namibian woman and child whose life was taken through gender-based violence, every survivor whose innocence and sense of safety were stolen, and every family left behind carrying a pain that words cannot fully express. We remember little Ingrid Maasdorp, only 5 years old; Roswinds Fabianu, only 6; and Beyoncé Kharuxas, 15 — three young Namibian girls whose lives were tragically cut short in 2025. We remember Chriszelda Kawarie, 21, whose life was taken in March 2024, and whose death left her family devastated. We remember Helen Onesimus, 43, whose life was taken in her own home in February 2024, and whose case ultimately resulted in a life sentence for her husband. We remember Beverly /Nanus, a mother of six whose life was allegedly taken by her partner in 2024. We remember Christof Fredricks, a Namibian transgender woman whose death in 2024 shocked the country. And beyond these names, we remember the countless Namibian women and children whose names may never have reached the newspapers — those who were abused, assaulted, raped, disappeared, killed, or left without the justice they deserved. We remember the mothers, daughters, sisters, aunties, grandmothers and children whose lives mattered. We remember the survivors who are still finding the courage to speak, and those who remain silent because their wounds are too painful to explain. We remember the families who continue to ask why, the families still waiting for justice, and the victims whose cases remain unresolved. May their names never be forgotten. May their stories never be silenced. May their families find strength, and may Namibia never become comfortable with violence against women and children. We mourn those we have lost, we stand with those who survived, and we continue to demand a Namibia where women and children can live without fear. For Ingrid. For Roswinds. For Beyoncé. For Chriszelda. For Helen. For Beverly. For Christof. For every name we know, and every name we do not. 💜🕊️ WE REMEMBER. WE MOURN. WE STAND TOGETHER. WE DEMAND JUSTICE. #stopgbv #enoughisenough #justice #namibiantiktoker🇳🇦 #southafricatiktok🇿🇦
