I think the bigger problem is we’re 6 episodes in and I dont feel like I know much more about the new coach or any of the new team than I did by seeing the first frame of them.

Admittedly tho, it feels kinda human, not all growth is linear hell sometimes you regress, and while that does at times feel like lazy writing, it's not unrealistic by any means

Yea I don’t like what they did to Keeley she’s acting spoiled and like a little kid and the latest episode with Roy was so cliché saying he loves keeley thinking he was talking to her

the only player names I can remember so far are Boots and Gemma. I want to know the women's team: who they are, what their dreams are, what holds them back. I love the cast from the other seasons, but they're focusing WAY too much on the old crew.

I feel like the writing has become lazy. I was hooked after the first episode in season 1. This season I don’t care about older new characters. I don’t like how Keely and Rebecca are acting like their whole life revolves around men… which to me isn’t how I felt they were in the previous season. They aren’t the same 2 strong women they were in the first season

I was disappointed that they used the “overheard trope” when Keeley heard Roy telling the Dr he loved her when he was drunk. That was one particularly lazy bit of writing imo.

Ditto! Would really like them to explore Alice and Gemma’s characters more. Hoping we get some time these next few eps exploring Alice’s past and see Gemma grow into a leader in the dressing room

I feel like it’s 2 different shows. The Ted and Alice dynamic is interesting. I’m interested in the Alice and Gemma backstory. I don’t care about the Roy and Keely will they won’t they. Not sure about Zelda.

my thoughts are they really didn't want to write the women's team at all, and so instead they wrote circles around the established characters and didn't do very much with the new ones
