🐞🦒maggie🦒🐞 :
it happened over the summer. we were walking back up to our lake house. i said, “hey evie, could i tell u something?..” she said, “yeah what’s up?” i was terrified. what if she didn’t accept me for who i was? what if she didn’t love me as much? i told her, “i…” a lump literally swelled up in my throat. “i what, maggie? what’s wrong??” i broke down in tears on the concrete, halfway from the lake to our house. she knelt down beside me and said, “maggie. whatever it is, something big or small, tell me. i won’t judge you.” it was so hard to get the words out of my mouth. “i-i’m bi.” i said, with tears dripping from my eye. she immediately hugged me, and said, “well, so am i. i’ve only told my mom. but don’t be afraid of telling the world. don’t be afraid of speaking your truth. don’t be afraid of embracing you and what you love.” and those next two weeks we spent with each other, we became closer than ever. god i love you so much evie.
