We teach our children respect, integrity and self control. We want to raise good, moral boys who grow into strong men not only physically strong, but emotionally intelligent enough to know that not every insult deserves a reaction. Someone else's ugly words don't require you to lower yourself and give ugly words back. Keep your composure, walk away, and get an adult when necessary. There is strength in knowing when not to react. But kindness does not mean allowing someone to physically hurt you. We've taught our boys never to start a fight or put their hands on someone first, but if someone becomes physically aggressive toward them, they have every right to protect and defend themselves 🤍
