@iamindiajay: Before I worked in sports, I was a Case Manager. And honestly? A lot of what I learned then still shows up in the way I work with student-athletes today. Social Work taught me how to listen, build trust, advocate, problem-solve, navigate resources, and meet people where they are. Because athletes are people first. ❤️ The transition from social services to college athletics may look completely different on paper, but the heart of the work is the same: supporting people, helping them navigate challenges, and pouring into their growth.
